I’ve gotten some requests to make a gif tutorial. So here is my attempt (hopefully not sad attempt) at making one. I use Photoshop CS5. Keep in mind that I haven’t been using Photoshop for very long and I’m still learning things myself. This may end up being long and drawn out. As I want to try and explain everything to the fullest. It includes everything I do from start to finish.
Anyway hopefully this will help some people get started with making gifs.
I’ve had a couple of questions about gif colouring and a request to make a tutorial, so I’m doing just that. I don’t claim to be an expert nor is my way of colouring “right”. In fact, you’ll probably just laugh at how simple it is.
In this tutorial we’ll be going from the gif on the left to the gif on the right. Colouring a gif this way not only makes the gif look more vivid and enchances the edges to make the gif more ‘crisp’, it does not use up as much kb as well by focusing on select colours instead of a larger range of them.
This is where you will find my gif this is based on in all its 500px glory. This tutorial is for those who already have experience giffing in photoshop. I am using photoshop CS5, but I am pretty sure it is the same on other versions and/or is translatable. Please like/reblog if you found this helpful at all :)
